코끝에 상큼한 향 매달려 둘러보니
할머니 더덕을 깎아 하나둘 쌓고 있네
가만히 놔둘 때는 어떤 향도 없지만
더덕을 깎고 쪼개 나누어 주려하자
비로소 진한 향기가 멀리멀리 퍼져서

As I pass through Euljiro and enter the underground passage, A refreshing scent clings to the tip of my nose, and as I look around, An elderly woman is peeling deodeok, stacking them one by one. When left untouched, there is no scent at all, But as the deodeok is peeled, split, and shared, Its rich fragrance finally spreads far and wide.
